THE CONFIDENCE TO GO ANYWHERE

Wherever the journey leads, life with electric power is boundless.

ELECTRIC HYBRID REAL WORLD RANGE CALCULATOR

Our hybrid electric SUVs typically achieve a real world electric driving range of 49 to 96 km (a certified range of 63 to 122km) depending on your chosen model and driving style. Adjust the settings in the range calculator below to explore electric hybrid range in real-world conditions.

City
The majority of your driving takes place in and around town.

Motorway
The majority of your driving takes place on the motorway.

Mixed
Your driving involves a combination of city and motorway driving

WHEEL SIZE

Bigger wheels and off-road tyres increase rolling resistance, mass and aerodynamic drag – reducing electric range.

CLIMATE CONTROL

Climate control refers to air conditioning for heating or cooling the cabin. Additional factors that can impact range include heating the windscreen, seating, and steering wheel.

PRECONDITIONING

Preconditioning allows you to heat or cool your cabin and battery while your Land Rover is plugged in. This uses energy from the mains and preserves the energy in the battery to maximise driving range.

HOW CAN I MAXIMISE MY EV RANGE?

EV range is typically affected by real-world driving conditions. With access to home charging, range should rarely be an issue for local journeys, but there are still some simple ways you can maximise your EV range every day.

DRIVING SPEED

Travelling at a steady pace – rather than frequent, heavy acceleration and hard braking – will help preserve your electric range.

ECO MODE

Eco Mode is a simple way to optimise your range during your journey. It adjusts some of the settings including cabin temperature and air recirculation to save energy and maximise range.

BRAKE REGENERATION

Once you lift your foot off the accelerator, an intelligent regenerative braking system comfortably slows the vehicle down while converting the power generated to optimise the battery’s range. Applying the brake increases the amount of power harvested.

DESIGNED TO LAST

Just like the rest of your Range Rover, the powerful Lithium-ion battery inside your vehicle is designed to inspire total driving confidence, year after year and in all conditions.

HOW DOES A BATTERY WORK?

The battery in your electric vehicle consists of several individual Lithium-ion modules working together inside a single rechargeable pack.

Pressing your Range Rover’s accelerator delivers power from the battery to the electric motor driving the wheels. This gradually consumes the amount of electricity stored, until it’s time to plug in and recharge again.

HOW LONG DOES A BATTERY LAST?

Batteries are designed to last even longer than the extensive life of your vehicle. Unlike the much smaller version of a Lithium-ion battery found inside your laptop or mobile phone, a Range Rover battery uses specific technologies and techniques to optimise its performance for many years and many thousands of kilometres.

This includes sophisticated liquid-cooling systems and a smart buffer that helps to protect the battery from the wearing effects of constant charging.
